Nest Painting
This painting will be destined to hang in an exhibition for SALA (South Australian Living Artists) at St Peters Cathedral later in the year.
Arrangement with Protea
Quadrata - SOLD
Another new painting, the background effect was a new experiment for me. It was almost good enough to leave as it was without the nest! But then, Jackson Pollock has already done this! I struggled a little bit with the weave of the canvas, it needed another coat of gesso to prime the canvas and fill in the little craters between the weave. It's a meter by a meter.

Voyager 2. SOLD.
I sent the first painting called Voyager to an exhibition in New South Wales, the Bell Gallery. I liked it so much I have done something similar here. Although in real life, in detail they are very different. I've included a beautiful little beetle that you can't pick up on this low resolution image.
Study of a nest on a ledge. (sold)
I haven't posted anything up for a while, so I have taken the camera out and photographed a couple of new paintings. This one has a very shiny coat of old fashioned varnish on it. In real life, I like to see a sheen on a painting. But of course it's hard to photograph! This painting is about 60 cms in width, I will put a gold frame on it in a traditional manner.
