Veggie-might
These are both fairly large oil paintings. The one on black has been sold, the other one is one of my favourites so far.
Yeah, love the paintings and title! There is something about the one you like though--something moving beyond realism--I love the soft focus and tones here.
love the second one... normally Im for the brighter, richer colours but the softer quality of this actually makes it richer and more one of a kind... (if you know what I mean). There is more subtlety and mood evoked.
Lovely work! The large scale is a good direction too... I'm glad you're finally getting around to posting some new work on a 'blog' (it's easy see?)... Jimbo

peachy!
yes, if I had to I would choose the second one too, for the colours but also the quality of bloom on the flesh of those grapes. nice one!
Cool title Roger. Did you use vegemite? I know that Pro Hart used to paint with vegemite.

Thanks Graham Steve and Ian,for the inspiring comments, a man could get used to this!!
Ah, they are beautiful paintings! The colors are lush and the fruit looks ripe and juicy, and I like the title as well. Beautiful stuff!
